We are committed to providing opportunities for our local youth to learn, play and excel at a level of volleyball play that is both fun and challenging. With this goal in mind, we present our Club League program, based upon the skills, desires and goals of the players. This program provides opportunities for girls from grades 6 through 9 to learn and enjoy the sport of volleyball. There is no previous playing experience required to enjoy the Club League. Our coaches will provide the training necessary for your player to understand the game and learn the basics of volleyball.
This league is broken down into three age groups:
The Loudoun County Volleyball Club League runs for 6 weeks, with a total of 12 days (6 practices and 6 game days). Typically, on Fridays practices will be run in a clinic style where coaches will work with developing the fundamentals of the sport. On Sundays, players will be assigned to teams and those teams will scrimmage each other while coaches introduce basic strategy concepts such as game systems, offensive and defensive systems, etc. Practices happen on Fridays and on Sundays the coaches will organize games where the teams of both court 1 and court 2 will play each other. On the last day of the program the coaches organize a play day with our athletes in a tournament format.
Practice for this program is 1 day during the week, on Fridays:
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders
Game day for this program is 1 day during the week, on Sundays:
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders
This program is 6 weeks long (6 practices plus 6 game days; 12 days total) and the cost is $225 per athlete for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, and $325 per athlete for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders.
REFUND POLICY: A 5% processing fee will be charged for a full refund before the program starts. After the program starts a refund fee of 30% will be applied to all refunds (30% of the remaining amount, proportional to the remaining number of practices).
Gym Policy: Only coaches and athletes are allowed in the gym during this program. While practice/play day is on, parents are welcome to stay in our comfortable lobby next door. On the last day of the program (September 29) parents are welcome to bring a chair and enter the gym and cheer for their athletes! No food (nor any sort of snack or candy) is allowed in the gym; water bottles are permitted.
Note: Coaches might invite one to move up to practice and play with an older group based on one's experience and current level of play. Coaches will assess the potential candidates to play up on a case by case basis.
